Aboriginal Apprenticeship Program

The Aboriginal Apprenticeship Program (AAP) works to improve retention and completion rates for Aboriginal apprentices and trainees. 

The AAP can assist Aboriginal jobseekers over the age of 16 years to gain a trade-based apprenticeship or traineeship, and support employers of Aboriginal apprentices, trainees and school-based apprenticeships with retention incentives and mentoring as well connecting them to relevant support services.

4 Year Apprenticeship - up to $12,000

After 6 months: $1,000
On completion of COT: $1,000

School-based Apprenticeship - up to $1,500
3 months after Agreement sign up: $500
