Skilling South Australia funding

Skilling South Australia provides funding to deliver projects and quotas that lead to more apprenticeships and help more people get skills and qualifications to build lasting careers and meet the needs of industry.

About Skilling South Australia

The South Australian Government is committed to ensuring that apprenticeships are attractive to job seekers, businesses and industry, and continue to play a fundamental role in meeting the state’s skills needs into the future.

To achieve this goal, the Government is investing $100 million, with a further $103 million provided by the Australian Government through the Skilling Australians Fund National Partnership Agreement, to create an additional 20,800 apprenticeships in South Australia over the next four years.

Two key initiatives of Skilling South Australia are:

  • Skilling South Australia Projects

We are seeking Expression of Interest for funding for a Skilling South Australia Project. The Department invites creative project ideas that can be collaboratively developed, resulting in apprenticeships or higher apprenticeships at the Diploma and Advanced Diploma levels.

See the online form to Submit an Expression of Interest for a Skilling South Australia Project.

  • Skilling South Australia Quotas

Applications are currently being accepted from eligible training providers with a Head Agreement to deliver Skilling South Australia Quotas for 2018-19. Eligible training providers can now apply for training places, to be delivered under a training contract, in courses listed in the Skilling South Australia Quota Guidelines 2018-19. Commencement in the training places must be within the 2018-19 financial year.
