Electro-Technical Officer project

This project addresses Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) regulatory requirements for Electro-Technical Officers (ETOs).

There is currently no training pathway for ETOs in the maritime workforce to gain AMSA certification, creating a skills shortage for the Australian maritime industry.

This project includes:

  • a new qualification for ETOs
  • five new units of competency
  • review of 34 units of competency.
