3D Printing Technologies project

3D printing is a key technology driving rapid change across multiple industries, including the aviation, architecture, automotive, commercial manufacturing, dental, medical, education, construction, mining, financial, insurance and legal sectors.

This project aims to provide training in the design of 3D prints and the installation and operation of 3D printers that will help address existing skills shortages in 3D printing. This training will offer workers across multiple industries the opportunity to reskill or upskill to meet industry demand.

The project will:

  • review 3 existing units of competency
  • develop 1 new unit of competency
  • review 1 skill set.
