Security Operations project

Security qualifications and units are being reviewed in response to the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) Strategic Review to better align qualifications to the workforce and transition to the Standards for Training Packages 2012.

The review extends to all security qualifications in the training package and addresses:

• industry concerns relating to job design and the challenging nature of the work
• licencing and mutual recognition
• packaging of units into skill sets
• embedding volume of learning into units of competency requirements
• tightening of assessment to improve quality.

Real Estate project

The project aims to provide advice about the changes required to update the CPP07 Property Services Training Package, specifically related to Real Estate.

The project will review eight qualifications and:

• streamline the qualifications to be fit for purpose
• update the qualifications to more appropriately reflect the skills and knowledge required, due to changes in licensing/regulation and emerging business models driven by changes in technology
• transitioning units to the 2012 Standards of Training Packages.
