Initiatives to improve the quality of training of WorkReady Training Providers.
Students surveys
A student satisfaction survey and graduate outcomes survey are conducted annually. Students and graduates with a valid email address are invited to complete an online survey about their level of satisfaction with the services they received from their training provider. Graduates are also asked about their current employment status and the job related benefits of completing their Course.
Independent validation of assessment
Independent validation of assessment determines if government subsidised graduates hold the skills and knowledge certified by their qualification. A sample of employers are surveyed and asked to compare their government subsidised graduate’s skills and knowledge against a specification developed by industry. Graduates are also surveyed to find out about their employment outcomes and their satisfaction with the quality of training they received.
Fourteen government subsidised Courses have been selected for validation:
- Certificate III in Aged care
- Certificate III in Children’s Services
- Diploma of Children’s Services
- Certificate III in Disability

Training innovation pilots
Training innovation pilots explore training and assessment arrangements to maximize employment and skill outcomes for students. The pilots are specifically focused on quality training, industry validation and course duration to support industry standard skill acquisition with an emphasis on work placement and the transition to employment.
The pilots focus on:
- Pre-apprenticeship pathways - improving the transition from certificate II pre-apprenticeship Courses to training contracts at the certificate III level
- Community services and hospitality - improving job readiness
These pilots are being funded for a limited number of qualifications and are a joint effort between government, industry and Training Providers.
Eight Training Providers have been selected to deliver the training pilots throughout South Australia.
